Secret Cove to Snug Cove- Union Steamship Marina -Canada- July 25th, 2008

Mary and Brock had recommended we stop in at Gibson’s and the folks in the slip next to us at Secret Cove had recommended Snug Harbor – Union Steamship Marina. As we left Secret Cove, we called Gibson’s and they were having their “Buccaneers Event” and were totally booked. We called Union Steamship and they had a spot for us, so off we went to Snug Harbor. We were very lucky, Snug Harbor and the Union Steamship Marina were simply charming. Snug Harbor is on Bowen Island directly north west of Vancouver. Bowen Island is in the Straight of Georgia, and the straight can be quite a challenge if the wind is up. It was slightly windy when we left Secret Cove, so it was nice that Snug Harbor was on the east side of Bowen Island away from the Straight of Georgia on the Queen Charlotte Sound.

Glad things are shaping up for Thanksgiving and we're looking forward to getting our 'sea legs' again! ha.

Love you!
